Hawthorn Hollow is a private, nonprofit nature sanctuary and arboretum owned and operated by the Hyslop Foundation, providing environmental education to all ages. The 40 acres of varied terrain offer 2 miles of trails winding through the woods of the Pike River Valley, a 12 acre Arboretum, a variety of gardens, and three historic buildings surrounded by prairie. The Friends of Hawthorn Hollow was established in 1988 to help preserve, maintain and further improve Hawthorn Hollow. This organization provides financial and maintenance support through memberships, fund-raising events, boutique sales and volunteer work days.
Kay Novy (kkphoto1) Have always been interested in art in one form or another. Started out as a hairdresser, then oil and water color painter. Have taken many art classes, but it was a series of photography classes that I knew I was hooked! Love it.
