Artist's Description
Beautiful multicolored tulips from my garden in Kenosha Wisconsin, USA.
Originally cultivated in the Ottoman Empire (present-day Turkey), tulips were imported into Holland in the sixteenth century. When Carolus Clusius wrote the first major book on tulips in 1592, they became so popular that his garden was raided and bulbs stolen on a regular basis.
About Kay Novy
Kay Novy (kkphoto1) Have always been interested in art in one form or another. Started out as a hairdresser, then oil and water color painter. Have taken many art classes, but it was a series of photography classes that I knew I was hooked! Love it. I have had my photos published in the local newspaper and for a local calendar, recently had a photo published in "Birds And Blooms" magazine. My art would be perfect for the home or office.
