Description
A beautiful flowering white spring bush. Taken in Kenosha Wisconsin, USA.
Whitewater Speedwell is a lovely plant to have as groundcover with its masses of tiny, ½ -inch blooms that cover the dark green, glossy foliage. This spreader begins flowering in spring and can continue well into fall with the first frost. In warm climes, the foliage stays evergreen year round; while in colder climates, winter turns the foliage a deep burgundy or bronze.
Whitewater Speedwell has a spreading habit and grows only to a height of 4 to 6 inches and a width of 24 to 30 inches. It fares well in full sunlight and partial shade. It can adapt to a variety of soils, including clay, loamy, normal, sandy and poor, and fares well regardless of whether the soil is moist or dry as long as it is well-drained. This plant is disease, pest and deer resistant and heat, humidity and drought tolerant as well as cold hardy. Whitewater Speedwell with its plentiful, white blooms complements other colorful plants and makes a beautiful border or groundcover.

There's a sweeping sense of movement to the vine, as if it is reaching up and toward the sky. l/f/tw/p
