Description
"Quadracci Pavilion" (The Milwaukee Art Museum) is located on beautiful Lake Michigan in Milwaukee Wisconsin, USA.
142,050 sq. foot graceful, sculptural, postmodern addition was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Highlight of this beautiful building is the magnificent cathedral-like space of "Windhover Hall" with a vaulted 90-foot-high glass ceiling; the "Burke Brise Soleil" with a movable sunscreen with a 217-foot wingspan that unflolds and folds twice daily and the "Reiman Bridge" a pedestrian suspension bridge that connects the museum to the city of Milwaukee.
The structure incorporates cutting-edge technology and old-world craftsmanship.
The city of Milwaukee has a strong craft tradition.
