Description
Honored to be one of the photographs chosen for me to be ARTIST OF THE MONTH in "Exquisite Florals" group! Thank you, Maria! 4/22/17.
Stella de Oro" daylily, (Hemerocallis "Stella D'Oro") is a familiar, long-season daylily with deep green foliage and an abundance of rich, golden-yellow flowers that bloom from late spring until fall. Mature height of the plant is 10 to 12 inches, with a spread of 12 to 24 inches. "Stella de Oro" daylily is suitable for planting in U.S. Department of Agriculture growing zones 2 through 9.
Daylilies are hearty plants that grow in nearly any well-drained soil type, but they benefit from the addition of 2 to 4 inches of manure or compost at planting time. Although the plant thrives in bright sunlight, "Stella de Oro" daylilys planted in sunny climates do best in with light shade during hot afternoons.
